The English Haven

The Entrance of The English HavenThe English Haven is the privately owned house of Philip T English and his family, with all the personal touches of a meticulously designed home built in a totally unique position within English Harbour's National Park. The accommodation is of a very high standard with attention to detail and an eye for design. The house, sleeping six people, consists of the Master Suite, the Guest Suite and a divan for two extra guests if required. There are three bathrooms.

The luxury fitted kitchen was hand built in England and is equipped with numerous appliances that will inspire many a Caribbean feast

But by far the most exceptional feature of the house is the spectacular view of English Harbour, out to the open sea and on to the clear horizon, broken only by the distinctive outline of the island of Montserrat 25 miles away to the West.

The English Haven nestles in the green hills of English Harbour, home to Nelson's Dockyard - the only working original Georgian dockyard in the world. Its surrounding area, carefully protected by the National Parks, echoes the days of the old wooden schooners but boasts many excellent restaurants, lively bars, art galleries, beauty salons, boutiques and local craft shops that you might expect of a contemporary town.

The house overlooks and is situated in the grounds of Galleon Beach, a small, exclusive resort of essentially private Caribbean homes. So you can enjoy all the beach facilities including water-sports and tennis courts with the benefit of the discreet security of the resort but with the privacy of your private house.

Whether you come for the sailing, the carnival, the reggae, the cricket, the restaurants, the diving, the bars, the climate or simply the tranquility of an unspoilt Caribbean island, The English Haven is the perfect home from which to enjoy it.
